Crafting Comfort Together
Our Mission
Our Vision
To provide handmade quilted items from local Estes Valley quilters to bring comfort, hugs, and healing to newborn infants, in need or displaced children, isolated elderly, and veterans, ensuring every recipient knows they are seen, valued and not forgotten.
An Estes community united in compassion, where handmade quilts become symbols of celebration, gratitude and healing for all generations – from our littlest ones to our heroes and elders, building a valley of enduring warmth and remembrance.

Why We Care?
Every quilt begins with a maker ... someone stitching warmth, care, and hope into every seam. Every quilt ends with a person experiencing a meaningful moment ... whether a family is celebrating a new arrival or facing an unexpected hardship.
We are the bridge between the two.
The Mountain Hug Project connects local Estes Valley quilters, guilds, and sewing volunteers with children, families, and individuals who need comfort when it matters most. Through this connection, handmade items become more than fabric ... they become a gift of stability, dignity, and love.
